Avalanche Major News
  • AvalancheGo v1.2.0 released - Critical update, please update nodes ASAP. The patch fixes performance issues related to interchange transfers between X, C, and P chains.

  • The Avalanche <-> Ethereum bridge (aeb) went live! And then went down because of a bug - fix has been deployed but is in final testing, bridge should be functional again soon. So far tokens worth $33 million have moved to Avalanche.

  • Pangolin, a Uniswap style Dex, launched. Total liquidity currently sits at $45 million.

Staking (P-Chain)
  • AvalancheGo v1.1.5 released - the patch includes stability improvements.

  • Stats:

    • 72.5% staking ratio (261,015,046 AVAX) ↑ 0.5% from last week

    • ~9.95% current staking reward per year

    • 827 Validators - ↑ 19 from last week

Asset Layer (X-Chain)
  • X-Chain was live throughout the recent performance issues. However there were some issues with overloaded APIs which caused difficult sending some txs.

  • The Avalanche Wallet is temporarily in read only mode but should be back very soon.

  • 1085 assets have been issued on the X-chain - ↑ 53 from last week

DApp Layer (C-Chain)
  • Use alternative API endpoints if a provider becomes congested: Tutorial for Figments API, alternative use this video tutorial

  • Avascan have a new Chainbridge filter to see inflows & outgoings to/from Ethereum

  • You can add Avascan to be your default explorer for MetaMask when using the C-Chain

  • Full list of tokens available for aeb

  • C-Chain is currently fully functional after a small period of downtime, related to the aeb issue

Stuff for Devs
  • Building DeFi On Avalanche, The Hype Is Real - blog post by Louis Lapat, CTO of Prospero

  • AvalancheJS v3.2.0 released - highlights (from Gabriel Cardona)

    • can now parse/serialize any serializable data structure to both codecID 0 & 1

    • now has an examples directory with 60+ scripts demoing how to create/mint/transfer fungible/non-fungible tokens, cross chain swaps, create subnets, add delegators/validators, call RPCs, and more.

  • Ortelius v1.2.0 released

  • How to create, mint and transfer NTFs

  • AVAX Listed on Bitpanda, a promotion trading competition is live now

  • The PolyAnt King sale is live. Limited-edition AVAX inspired collectibles each enable holders to redeem $20 in $AVAX at a later date.

  • Copper integrates Avalanche to bolster institutional-grade storage and trading security for AVAX

  • Lvna Capital is looking to invest in Avalanche based DeFi and infrastructure projects

  • A new DeFi Avalanche telegram group

  • JustLiquidity announced they will support Avalanche in their upcoming JulWallet

  • Someone on WallStreetBets suggested an ILO against Robinhood

  • Some fun simplified simulations of core Avalanche consensus algorithms under controlled environments.

  • Cargo announced they will prioritise Avalanche in their multi-chain support
